Nutrition Workshops & Talks
Noa is available for group presentations/workshops, on any sports nutrition topic (specializing in endurance performance). If you would like a customized presentation for your club or team, please get in touch to discuss topics, the goals of the session, duration, target audience, etc.
All workshops are interactive and include a presentation, discussion/Q&A and comprehensive handouts for participants. Length of workshop/talk can be as short or as long as needed to fit with the needs of the target audience. In addition, the workshops can be delivered in an easy to understand or more technical format.
The topics below are samples of common topics - we are happy to discuss other topics to suit the needs of your group.
The primer - This workshops focuses on sport nutrition basics, such as daily eating for health and to support training, your immune system, hydration and optimal recovery. Athletes will be given tools to develop their own individual nutrition plans based on their personal needs and training/racing goals.
Race Fast - Dial in your fueling strategy and race to your full potential. We will teach athletes the key components needed to fuel and hydrate properly on race day, including 'homework' for training sessions and various 'tricks or the trade'. Athletes will be given the information needed to create their own race day strategy. Can be tailored for specific events, based on your group.
Smart Choices On the Go - This workshops is for busy athletes who are balancing work, family, training and having a bit of a social life too, or for higher level athletes who are training several times a day. Preparation is key and we will help athletes come up with strategies to make sure they are fueling their training and recovering properly for optimal performance and health.
Travel Essentials - Travel can be stressful for athletes. Flying, hotel rooms, foreign places with foods that are not necessarily familiar, potential health concerns (depending on location), etc. Athletes will learn to plan ahead and pack appropriately to make sure their performance and health while on the road are not compromised. Can be tailored for specific locations and/or events.
Lets Cook! - As hands on as it gets! We believe in eating real food to fuel your performance, so this workshop will help athletes learn the skills needed to prepare and cook healthy meals and snacks. We will make (and eat) several dishes and athletes will leave with recipes, kitchen 'cheat sheets' and other tools to get them in the kitchen, inspired to fuel their performance the right way.
Additional topics include, the female athlete, special diets (gluten free, vegetarian, etc), supplements and more. Just tell us what you are looking for and we will make it happen!

Nutrition Writing & Recipe Development
Noa is available to write articles and fact sheets on various sports nutrition topics (both technical and easy to understand, based on target audience).
Possible topics include, but are not limited to: the female athlete, iron deficiency, weight management, recovery strategies, gut health, inflammation, adaptation to training, race day nutrition, macronutrient intake (carbohydrates, protein, fat), vitamins and minerals, supplements and anything else you can think of that is related to nutrition and athletic performance!
Recipe development is a part of Noa's Fueling Endurance Performance / 'Real Fuel' project, dedicated to helping athletes choose real food to fuel their performance. Cooking skills are very important for athletes and the goal is to inspire to get athletes in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes specifically designed with their performance goals in mind.
